Two markets cover most football betting: who wins, and what the exact score is. This page explains how to read the odds on both, what the numbers actually mean in probability terms, and the mistakes that quietly cost more than any single losing bet.
There are two layers. Four established sportsbooks are available as full lobbies for anyone who wants handicaps, over/under, in-play and the rest of the deep markets. Alongside them we run our own football book, and it deliberately offers only two market types: match result and correct score.

Three outcomes: home win, draw, away win. The name comes from the traditional coupon where the home win was 1, the draw was X and the away win was 2. On our card they are labelled HOME, DRAW and AWAY so there is nothing to memorise.
The draw matters more in football than in most sports. Roughly a quarter of professional matches end level, so ignoring the middle option means ignoring a real and frequently priced outcome.
Odds here are decimal. The number is what one unit returns in total, stake included.
To convert odds into the chance being priced, divide one by the odds. Odds of 2.00 imply a 50 percent chance. Odds of 4.00 imply 25 percent. Odds of 1.25 imply 80 percent.
Add the implied chances of all three outcomes together and you will get slightly more than 100 percent. That surplus is the margin built into the price, and it is how every book in the world makes money. It is not hidden and it is worth knowing it is there: it means the odds are not a neutral forecast, they are a forecast plus a margin.
Here you pick the exact final scoreline: 1-0, 2-1, 0-0 and so on. Because there are many more possible outcomes than three, the odds are far longer, and a correct score bet that lands pays multiples of what a match-result bet would.
On our card the scorelines are grouped into HOME, DRAW and AWAY so you can find the one you want quickly, and within each group they run in score order rather than by price. That is deliberate: sorting by odds makes it harder to find the specific scoreline you had in mind.
Each market carries a total payout ceiling for the whole book, not just for you. Once the potential payout on a particular selection reaches that ceiling, it stops being offered. The scorelines this affects first are the long ones, because a single small stake at very long odds can commit a large payout.
So a missing scoreline is not an error and it is not personal. It means that outcome is already carrying as much liability as it is allowed to.
Tap the odds you want and the selection drops into the bet slip; the button turns green and the counter on the floating button goes up. Tap it again to remove it. Open the bet slip, enter a stake for each selection, and place. Each selection is placed as its own single bet.

Bets are settled on the result recorded by the source we take the match data from. If that source later corrects a result, the correction applies.
One thing worth checking before you bet on a cup tie: match-result and correct-score markets are conventionally settled on the score at the end of normal time, including stoppage time, and not on extra time or penalties. If a competition can go beyond ninety minutes, know which you are betting on.
Matches already under way appear at the top of the list, marked as live and showing the current score next to the team names. Odds on a live match move as the game develops, so the price you see is the price at that moment rather than a fixed one. Matches that have finished drop off the list entirely.
The staking mistake that ruins more accounts than bad selections: varying the stake according to how confident you feel. Confidence is not information.
